Towing big equipment or livestock trailers can get rough fast when every bump and pothole sends shock through the truck and trailer. The Curt RockerBall Multi-Fit Ball Kit uses ShockDrop technology with a polyurethane cushion to absorb that jarring motion. The built-in pivot action smooths out the fore-aft movement from braking or acceleration, cutting down on jerking and chucking. It keeps your ride steadier and helps protect your cargo, truck, and trailer from unnecessary wear.
Shorter setups often run tight on cab-to-trailer clearance, especially when taking sharper turns. This hitch solves that with a 4" offset built into the ball mount, giving you that little bit of extra space you need between the cab and front of the trailer. It helps you maneuver without stressing about contact or crunching corners, and it still gives you a fully open truck bed while hooked up.
When it’s time to hook up or remove the hitch, the quarter-turn anchoring system makes it simple. Drop it in, give it a twist, and you’re locked in with anti-rotation arms and adjustable anchors that keep it tight in the pucks—no rattle or play. The integrated safety chain loops are part of the assembly, so there’s no need for extra hardware. When you’re done towing, pull it out just as easily for a clean bed ready for loading gear or hay.
This forged steel gooseneck ball is tested to meet SAE standards and rated for 30,000 lbs gross towing weight. The 2-5/16" ball sits 8" above the bed surface—1-1/2" higher than standard due to its shock-absorbing base—and is finished with a carbide black powder coat on the frame and chrome plating on the ball for corrosion resistance. It’s built for tough jobs that demand heavy hauling without sacrificing comfort or control.

I want to like the Curt RockerBall, however I noticed after our one and only trip with it that the shorter connection in between the ball and the cross piece actually bent. The way it is attached to the rockerball offset is two flanged pieces that are clamped together with bolts and really doesn’t have a ton of strength to withstand a twisting force from the offset.
Additionally the hitch is very tall. We ran into issues with our gooseneck not being able to retract enough to let the trailer sit level.
I received my hitch and the box was opened and the ball was missing. I called and Tiffani took care of it and I thought I was getting just the ball but she sent a whole new set up. Not sure why someone opened the box to take the ball but etrailer helped with the issue. Thank you

I ponder that as well... But, I'm glad that Tiffani got you taken care of so you could get everything hitched up, Jason!
Great alternative to hook up your gooseneck safe, giving you room to turn without hitting the truck cab
I have pulled a 35ft.gooseneck flatbed/deckover..no issues..I pulled my 34ft.horse trailer(14k empty),small carriage style bolts in center of bar(were tightened properly)shifted, allowing the bar and ball to shift to the side, causing an issue to straighten out..can supply pics to prove it..other than that it is great item
The extra ball height worked great when combined with a gen-y executive hitch.
This hitch has worked great in my 24 Ram 3500. I’ve towed my 32’ trailer with a tractor on up to my 41’ ATC trailer. Hitch cuts down on the shock and has worked without issue.
Many thanks to William S. who suggested the Rockerball hitch with the 4' offset to solve my clearance problem. My offset was fine but I needed to raise the ball ~4 inches as the clearance from truck bedrails to 5th wheel overhang was only about 3 1/2 inches. Yikes. The previous owner had replaced the trailer pin box with the Reese 20K gooseneck conversion. Great - but not for my truck. The Reese was at the highest adjustement possible so I needed to raise the ball height to get acceptable clearance. Unable to find an extended shank goosneck ball for the Ram puck system.....the Rockerball hitch was the perfect solution.

Dang, sorry to hear that, Landon. Do you by chance know the weight of your trailer/camper? This rated up to 30K, so I must admit to being surprised it bent when you used it.
